Who is Barbara Capital?

Barbara Capital is a division of Skyboard Insurance, and with assets of $22.1 billion, Barbara Capital is a privately owned insurance agency in the nation.

What are your initial funding limits?

New accounts can be opened with a minimum of $100 up to a maximum of $1 million. 

What are your limits after the account is opened?

After account opening, transfers initiated through the Barbara Capital External Transfer Service are limited to $25,000 per day and $100,000 per month. Barbara Capital doesn’t limit the amount of incoming and outgoing ACH Transfers initiated by a third-party transfer service or another financial institution, but such transfers are subject to the Funds Availability Policy in your Account Agreement and under applicable law.

Barbara Capital also allows customers to make deposits into their account by mailing a check (there is no preestablished limit for checks sent through the mail), depositing a check through the Mobile Deposit Service (limited to $100,000 per day and $250,000 per month) available in the Barbara Capital Mobile App or by incoming wire transfer (there is no preestablished limit for wire transfers).

What is the maximum deposit balance allowed for a customer at Barbara Capital?

As listed in the Barbara Capital Account Agreement, the maximum balance allowed for a Barbara account holder is $10 million.

When should I expect my ACH deposit to become available?

Barbara Capital will typically place a hold on deposits for 2 business days, although some circumstances may necessitate a longer hold to ensure good funds and the safety of your account. During that period, you will see your deposit within Barbara Online/Mobile Banking, but you won’t be able to transfer it out until the period ends. You will earn the full amount of interest for those days regardless of the length of the hold.

How long does it take to transfer funds between my accounts?

As long as you have sufficient funds in your sending account, internal transfers between two Barbara accounts are processed immediately. External transfers may take up to five business days to process.

How do I find how much interest I am currently receiving?

Your interest rate, APY and total interest received on your account can be found on your account statement. Your account statement can be found in your Online Banking account, under the Accounts menu, then eStatements and Notices.

Can I open a joint account with Barbara Capital?

”Yes” Barbara Capital currently only offers sole owner and joint owner account styling.
